On July 31<\/strong>, the FIT program hosted the workshop \"Strategic Job Search\"<\/strong>, led by Sandra Bolesch<\/strong>, Career Coach and Certified Trainer for Intercultural Competences. The workshop introduced participants to the key elements of a successful job search in Germany and helped them better understand how the German labor market works.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"\"The session covered important legal aspects of working in Germany, explained how companies typically fill vacancies, and presented the most relevant online job portals for finding internships and graduate positions. Participants <\/span>also learned how to use <\/span>L<\/strong>inkedIn<\/strong> strategically to build a professional network and explored the im<\/span>portance of their own \"micro cosmos\"\u2014the personal and professional c<\/span>ontacts who can provide valuable support during the job search.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the worksh<\/span>op encouraged students to look beyond job descriptions and consider whether a company is the right fit for their own values, goals, and career aspirations. By combining practical job search strategies with networking techniques and self-reflection, participants gained a clearer understanding of how to approach their career planning in Germany in a focused and strategic way.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the Employability Pass<\/strong>, the workshop counted for 2 points<\/strong> in the category Career & Networking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
