Keep an eye on their socials or notice boards!<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"894\" data-end=\"947\">2. <strong data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"945\">Take day trips with your semester ticket<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"1098\">Honestly, this one\u2019s a game-changer. Your Uni Siegen semester ticket lets you travel all over NRW for free! Here are some of my favorite destinations:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1589\">\n<li data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1178\">\n<p data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1178\"><strong data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1121\">Cologne (K\u00f6ln):<\/strong> Big city vibes, the cathedral, indie caf\u00e9s, art museums.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1179\" data-end=\"1267\">\n<p data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1267\"><strong data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1195\">Frankfurt:<\/strong> Modern skyline, Main river, great museums \u2013 small extra cost, worth it.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1337\">\n<p data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1337\"><strong data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1284\">Wuppertal:<\/strong> Ride the Schwebebahn, chill in parks, visit the zoo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1338\" data-end=\"1397\">\n<p data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1397\"><strong data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1352\">Marburg:<\/strong> Cute old town, castle views, student energy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1469\">\n<p data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1469\"><strong data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1409\">Bonn:<\/strong> Riverside vibes, botanical gardens, Beethoven\u2019s birthplace.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1470\" data-end=\"1535\">\n<p data-start=\"1472\" data-end=\"1535\"><strong data-start=\"1472\" data-end=\"1487\">D\u00fcsseldorf:<\/strong> Trendy shops, Japanese food, and great museums.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1536\" data-end=\"1589\">\n<p data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1589\"><strong data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1560\">Aachen or Koblenz:<\/strong> For castle and chill energy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1689\">\u2192 Tip: bring your own snacks, a book, and a portable charger. You\u2019re basically traveling for free.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1730\">3. <strong data-start=\"1703\" data-end=\"1728\">Have a picnic in town<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1731\" data-end=\"1836\">Grab some snacks, head to Oberes Schloss or down by the river Sieg, and just relax. Cheap, easy, and fun.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1843\" data-end=\"1891\">4. <strong data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"1889\">Host nights in instead of going out<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1892\" data-end=\"1970\">Game night, DIY pizza, film marathons , more fun than clubs (and way cheaper).<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1977\" data-end=\"1999\">5. <strong data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"1997\">Go hiking<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2102\">Rothaargebirge, Netphen forests, or Giller , you\u2019re surrounded by green. It&#8217;s perfect for a reset day.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2109\" data-end=\"2162\">6. <strong data-start=\"2116\" data-end=\"2160\">Use the library (for more than studying)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2163\" data-end=\"2254\">They\u2019ve got novels, poetry, even magazines. And honestly?
