Bei der diesjährigen Konferenz der International Political Science Association (IPSA) in Brisbane, Australien, haben wir am 24. Juli 2018 unter dem Titel „Refugees as Consumers. Between Marginalization and Participation“ Zwischenergebnisse aus unserem Forschungsprojekt vorgestellt. Unser Paper stoß auf sehr großes Interesse. Dabei wurde die Perspektive auf Geflüchtete als Akteure im Feld des Konsums als besonders innovativ wahrgenommen, da sie am Alltag der Geflüchteten ansetzt und das breite Spektrum von Akkulturationprozessen beleuchtet.

Der Austausch und die Diskussionen in unserem Panel Theoretical and Methodological Approaches to Studying Migration, Borders and Margins: Institutions, Power, and Practice waren sehr anregend – sie wurden von folgenden Personen und Themen bereichert (s. Photo von links nach rechts):
