Emergency: You can call an ambulance and/or the fire department 24/7 for free. You reach them by calling 112.

Threat: If you feel threatened you can always call the police via 110 for free.

Emergency/threat on campus: You can call the emergency responders on campus by 0271 740 2111.

If it’s not urgent but you can’t wait until your General Practitioner is available, you can contact the Medical Emergency Service. In Siegen you find the emergency surgery at the St. Marien hospital (Kampenstraße 51, 57072 Siegen). The free phone number is 116 117. Your health insurance covers most hospital expenses. If you are admitted to the hospital for stationary treatment (i.e. overnight), then you will pay 10 euros for each day you spend there.

In train stations and on motorways there are emergency phones. You can use them for reporting accidents or calling an ambulance.
