The University of Siegen in Germany is a young university. We are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year, but our tradition as a center of education dates back to the 16th century.
The University of Siegen offers cutting-edge research and education on several campuses spread throughout the city. The main campus is located on top of a hill and the campus in the city center features a unique architectural feature: our auditoriums are built on top of the local department store. The University of Siegen consists of five Schools ranging from Liberal Arts and Humanities, Fine Arts, Education, Architecture, Business, Natural Sciences, Engineering to Life Sciences.
The University provides great opportunities for both early career and advanced researcher. Find out more about our research profile.
The University of Siegen is conveniently located between Frankfurt and Cologne, but actually, it is in the heart of Europe: Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam are only a short trip away. Siegen is located in one of the most densely forested areas within the whole of Germany. That’s why the University’s mascot is a European Bison – (Siggi):
The University of Tulsa has its roots in the Presbyterian School for Indian Girls, a small boarding school that was founded in 1882. Today, TU operates as a private, independent, nondenominational university. A top-rated, doctoral degree-granting institution, the university welcomes students from many different faiths and dozens of countries to our nation’s heartland.
Academic programs include the arts and humanities; social and natural sciences; engineering and technology; business; health care; and law. TU is a student-centered research university that cultivates interconnected learning experiences to explore complex ideas and create new knowledge in a spirit of free inquiry. Guided by our commitment to diversity, equity and service, we prepare individuals to make meaningful contributions to our campus, our community and our world.
