The Student Living Room offers a comfortable environment to take a break from everyday university life, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections with fellow students. Open to everyone, it supports student well-being by providing opportunities for social interaction and community.
Whether you want to unwind after class, participate in activities, meet new people, or simply enjoy a friendly atmosphere, the SLR is a place where everyone is welcome and can spend time with others.

Our Events
The Student Living Room offers a variety of events designed to help students connect, relax, and feel at home in Siegen. Whether you enjoy creative activities, meaningful conversations, or simply spending time with others, our events create a welcoming space for everyone.
Self-Care Sessions
Our weekly Self-Care Sessions provide a relaxed and supportive space for international students to unwind and connect. Each session focuses on a different topic – from crafting and mindfulness exercises to open discussions about well-being, emotional intelligence, and self-care. Hosted by two of our SLR-Hosts Jule & Hanna, the sessions are open, welcoming, and designed to help students recharge and feel supported in their everyday university life.
Special Events
Throughout the semester, we organize a variety of events and activities that bring students together in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Previous events have included Bingo Night, UNO Olympics, creative DIY workshops such as bracelet making, bookmark crafting, and vision boards, as well as seasonal activities and game nights.
Whether you enjoy getting creative, playing games, or simply spending time with others, our events are a great way to meet new people, experience different cultures, and make lasting memories.

I am studying Clinical Psychology (M.Sc.) in my second semester at the University of Siegen.
What are my hobbies? Spending time with friends and family – whether it’s going to a pub, having game nights, fishing, or trying out different sports. I also enjoy traveling, painting, crafting, and reading.
What am I looking forward to in the SLR? Getting to know new people from different countries and cultural backgrounds, creating a welcoming atmosphere together, and supporting international students in their everyday university life.

What do you study? I am studying Psychology (B.Sc.) at the University of Siegen.
What are my hobbies? I enjoy painting, learning new languages, photography and getting coffee with friends. I’m also really interested in fashion and love discovering new places.
What am I looking forward to in the SLR? Connecting with new people, exchanging experiences and contributing to a space where everyone enjoys coming together.
How to find the SLR
Coming from Siegen main train station (Hauptbahnhof) or the Siegen ZOB bus stop, it’s just a short walk:
- Exit the station and head towards the city center.
- Pass the bus stops and cross the street in the direction of the Kölner Tor.
- Keep following the path (just like shown on the map) — it’s only a few minutes on foot.
- You’ll reach the Kölner Tor. Cross the street and turn to the left.
- Follow the Sandstraße for about 150m.
- Our building is called F-S (Sandstraße 16–18, 57072 Siegen).
- Come on in — you’ll find us in Room F-S 222!
