Where is Siegen?

Siegen is located near the border triangle between NRW, Hessen and Rhineland-Palatinate.

Arriving by car:

Siegen can be reached via motorways A 45 (from Dortmund or Gießen / Frankfurt) and A 4 (from Cologne).

Travelling from Frankfurt
Follow the A 45 to exit 21 (Siegen), then take the B 62 towards “Kreuztal / Netphen / Siegen”. (After a few kilometers, the B 62 changes to the B 54). Follow the expressway until the exit “Siegen-Weidenau / Universität / Netphen”.

Travelling from Cologne / Dortmund
Coming from Dortmund, change at the Olpe-Sud junction from the A 45 to the A 4 direction Kreuztal / Siegen-Nord. Coming from the direction of Cologne, stay on the A 4 at the Olpe-Süd interchange. The A 4 will eventually turn into the B 54 (Hüttentalstraße). Follow the expressway until the exit “Siegen-Weidenau / Universität / Netphen”.

After the exit “Siegen-Weidenau / Universität / Netphen”, follow the B 62 towards “Netphen”. After about two kilometers, turn left at the second traffic light in the direction “Universität” and into the street “Am Eichenhang”. Follow the road “Am Eichenhang” and after about 400m turn left to enter the car-park Artur-Woll-Haus.

Arriving via public transportation

Travelling from Frankfurt:
Take the RE 99 train (via Giessen) to Siegen main station. From there take trains RE 16, RB 91 or RB 93 in the direction of Essen, Hagen or Bad Berleburg to get to “Siegen-Weidenau”. From the Siegen-Weidenau train station, take the bus line C 111 (direction “Uni Adolf-Reichwein-Straße”) to the stop “Am Eichenhang”. Alternatively, you can also take the C 111 (direction “Uni Adolf-Reichwein-Straße”) from the Siegen main station (bus stop “ZOB Siegen” directly in front of the station) to the stop “Am Eichenhang”.

Travelling from Cologne / Siegburg (ICE train station):
Take the RE 9 train from Cologne or Siegburg (ICE station) to Siegen main station. From there take either the RE 16, RB 91 or RB 93 train in the direction of Essen, Hagen or Bad Berleburg to the station “Siegen-Weidenau”. From Siegen-Weidenau, take the bus line C 111 (in the direction of “Uni Adolf-Reichwein-Straße”) to the stop “Am Eichenhang”. Alternatively, you can take the C 111 (direction “Uni Adolf-Reichwein-Straße”) from the Siegen main station (bus stop “ZOB Siegen” directly in front of the station) to the stop “Am Eichenhang”.

Travelling from Hagen or Bad Berleburg:
Take either the RE16, RB 91 or RB 93 from Hagen or Bad Berleburg to Siegen-Weidenau station. From Siegen-Weidenau, take the bus line C 111 (in the direction of “Uni Adolf-Reichwein-Straße”) to the stop “Am Eichenhang”
