Recap Online Workshop: Get Your Dream Job in Germany – Successful Job Search and Application | FIT: Soft Skills & Employability

On October 8, 2025, participants joined an interactive online workshop to gain practical insights into the German job market and learn how to stand out in the application process.

Led by Julia Barden, psychologist and experienced HR professional, the session combined expert input with hands-on exercises to help students confidently approach their job search in Germany.

Highlights included:
✅ Understanding how to find and evaluate suitable job openings
✅ Analyzing job ads to identify key requirements and tailor applications
✅ Writing a structured and convincing cover letter
✅ Designing a professional CV for the German job market
✅ Optimizing LinkedIn profiles for better visibility and networking

Participants immediately applied what they learned — from finding a fitting job offer to drafting a customized application.

By the end of the workshop, students walked away with greater clarity, practical tools, and confidence to navigate the German application process successfully.

After the exam period, many students joined this inspiring workshop to recharge their energy and reconnect with their inner strengths. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose balance — this session offered a safe space to slow down, reflect, and focus on what truly matters: your well-being.

Through interactive exercises, personal reflection, and open discussions, participants explored how to identify their personal strengths, recognize signs of stress, and set healthy boundaries without guilt.

✅ Understanding and nurturing self-worth
✅ Learning to recognize and respond to stress signals
✅ Practicing boundary-setting and self-care in daily life

Recap: Resilience Workshop: Learn to Overcome Challenges in Everyday Life | FIT: Well-Being & Social Integration

The workshop, “How Can You Overcome Everyday Uni Challenges? Building Resilience to Thrive While Studying Abroad!” led by Dr. Sylvia Goldstraß, focused on helping international students develop strategies to manage stress and handle the challenges of studying and living in a new country.

During the workshop, participants explored practical ways to:

  • Shift Perspectives – Looking at challenges from a more positive angle.
  • Turn Difficulties into Growth – Recognizing tough experiences as opportunities for personal development.
  •  Strengthen Emotional Resilience – Building resilience for both academic pressures and everyday life.
  • Change Limiting Thought Patterns – Identifying and adjusting unhelpful thought patterns.

The goal was to help students feel more confident in navigating their studies and life abroad, while learning to manage inner stress and build stability for the future.
