Bassem BOUAZIZ holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Sfax. He is a Member of the Scientific council of HICSM. He coordinates international cooperation with Frederich Shiller University through Biodialog DAAD Project from the 2015-2018 and the MAMUDS projects from 2016-2018. He was also a Workpackage Leader within the Tempus SAGE project from 2014-2017 on Serious Game. He spent in 2008 a research stay at Gelog Research Lab-ETS-Montreal. He participated in a CMCU project with Ecole centrale de Lyon from 2002-2005 aiming to create a platform for indexing and management of multimedia documents. His main research areas are Multimedia document indexing and processing, Computer Vision for video analysis, Deep learning, object recognition, Image processing for Biodiversity. He coordinates and participates in several research projects in partnership with the industry (MESAM Platform, ADIP, Smart Glass, REIVE). He is the author and co-author of several papers and has been a reviewer for international conferences and journals.
