Meeting at University of Hertfordshire​ Hatfield, UK from 26-29September 2022

A face-to-face meeting is being held at the University of Hertfordshire (UH) in Hatfield, UK from 26th September 2022 to 29th September 2022. The conference is focusing on sustainability and partially training as well. The meeting started with a welcome speech from Professor Rodney Day the Dean, School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire. The conference takes place with members from all partners participating either in the meeting. The MS@CPS consortium acknowledges the UH for hosting the meeting at its campus and appreciates the efforts done by the UH team: Dr. Raimund Kirner and Dr. Martina Doolan to have this meeting conducted face to face despite the difficulty due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Then an introduction lecture about UH and its facilities is given by Dr. Martina Doolan and Raimund Kirner.
In the first morning session, Dr. Hamid Hamidreza Ahmadian from the university of Siegen, the project leader, presented the meeting agenda, project overview, and status of the Project. In the second morning session, Dr. Christian Weber from the University of Siegen presented the status of WP2: MS@CPS curricula. He presented the status of the deliverables. In the first afternoon session, Dr. Mohamed Saleh from KTH presented about WP3: Industrial Partnership and the status of the deliverables in this WP, open points, and missing contributions. In the second afternoon session, Dr. Ala’ Khalifeh from GJU presented about WP4: WP4: Quality Management. He presented the status of the deliverables and future work in this WP.
At the end of the afternoon sessions, Dr. Hamid Hamidreza Ahmadian from the university of Siegen, the project leader, presented a conclusion and a plan for the next days (breakout sessions). He also moderated a panel discussion about best practices for ensuring the success of the project outcomes mainly regarding the involvement of industry in the master’s program.
